POSITION: VP of Civic Education
REPORTS TO: Chief of Civic Leadership & Prosperity
STATUS: Exempt
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
VP of Civic Education has responsibility for management of Catalyst Miami's civic leadership and education programs, reporting to the Chief for Civic Life and Prosperity. Current programs include the Family Leadership Training Institute (FLTI) for adults, children and youth. The position provides oversight of the existing civic leadership and education programs and development of emerging ones, and has lead responsibility for program design, planning, implementation, coordination and supervision of activities. The VP of Civic Education will assume supervision responsibilities for at least two staff members (Parent and Youth Leadership Coordinators) as well as VISTA members, interns and volunteers. This position will manage grants and contracts related to civic programming, and will act as lead facilitator for parent and youth programs. This position will also coordinate with the Community Engagement Director to oversee other family leadership activities, including the Parent Ambassadors alumni group. Salary commensurate with qualifications, including relevant knowledge, skills and abilities as reflected in a minimum of three years supervisory and management experience and academic background (related graduate degree preferred).
