Rasha Cameau is currently the Director of the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA). The NMCRA underwent an extensive reorganization in the summer of (2014), and Mrs. Cameau was initially brought in as the consulting expert to guide the agency’s organizational in-house transition, update the redevelopment plan, and negotiate a 29-year interlocal agreement with Miami-Dade County to extend the existence of the North Miami CRA. Mrs. Cameau has led the success of the agency’s objectives set forth on a targeted mission of redevelopment that will model CRA’s in South Florida.
Mrs. Cameau was the founding Director of the Little Haiti Cultural Center (LHCC). She was responsible for the creation of its operations and programming, policies and procedures. Prior to her tenure at the LHCC, she served as the Administrator for the Little Haiti NET Office.
She was the first paid employee of the Human Services Coalition (HSC) now known as Catalyst Miami. There she served as Deputy Director of Administration for seven (7) years; she was responsible for the agency’s general operations, finance and Human Resources Management.
Mrs. Cameau holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor in Public Administration from Florida International University. She also obtained the Florida Redevelopment Academy professional designation in 2017.
