Help us raise funds to ensure our most vulnerable neighbors can weather life’s storms
Catalyst Miami is raising money June 3rd – June 14th, 2019 to help our most vulnerable neighbors weather life’s storms–whether they face a hurricane or a health crisis.
As hurricane season begins in South Florida, we often think about the difficulties a storm can bring. Hurricane Irma revealed how truly vulnerable our community is to any storm or stressor.
Catalyst Miami exists to ensure our most vulnerable neighbors can weather life’s storms–whether they face a health issue that threatens the ability to work and lands them in debt or caring for a chronically ill child without access to health care.
Our work helps low-wealth households in Miami become more financially resilient by building assets and savings.
Catalyst Miami helps prepare communities for life’s storms year-round. We work to collectively find long-term, sustainable solutions to the issues that face low-wealth communities in Miami-Dade.
Our work includes:
- empowering communities and individuals to advocate for themselves,
- teaching financial literacy,
- providing access to non-predatory lending and ways to rebuild credit,
- and offering trainings like CLEAR Miami which educate and empower citizens regarding climate change’s effects on their communities and which better prepare them to advocate for solutions.

Make a donation today so more Miami-Dade County residents will be prepared to weather life’s storms.
If we raise $1000 by June 14th, Avra Jain, local developer and 2017 Imagine Miami honoree, will match with her own donation of $1000.
If we raise $2,000 by June 14th, attorneys Daniel T. Stabile and Michael D. Lozoff of Shutts & Bowen LLP will donate $1,000.
Also, those who make a recurring donation will be entered for a chance to win a family membership to Miami Children’s Museum. The winner will be announced on June 19th.
